The Big Mac was created by Jim Delligatti. Jim was one of the earliest franchisers of Ray Kroc. He owned a few restaurants in the Pittsburg area. The Big Mac debuted in one of his restaurants in 1967 for 45 cents. This sandwhich was then introduced to all the restaurants in 1968. One of the reasons which the Big Mac was so successful was the bread in the center of the sandwhich. This piece of Bread helped to stabilize the sandwhich. This is how the Big Mac came to be.

I really like big macs. They are delicious. The piece of bread in the middle really does stabilize the sandwich.
